Schedule of the Public Broadcasting Service Confirmed

The Communications Department of the Velocity Interoperability Network has confirmed the daily schedule of the public broadcasting service. The service carries a morning, midday and evening bulletin summarising the press releases issued by the departments of the Network, together with fixed windows in which official announcements, notices of change and the proceedings and decisions of Network institutions are carried.

Emergency notices are not confined to the schedule. They are carried on a dedicated channel at the time of issue and take precedence over all other programming on every channel of the service. Outside the scheduled windows the service repeats the announcements of the day so that members in every part of the Network receive them.

Departments wishing to have an announcement carried in a particular bulletin should observe the submission deadlines published with the schedule. Members relaying the service on their own channels must carry the schedule in full and in the order in which it is broadcast. The schedule is published on the Department's website under Broadcast Schedule and will be reviewed after its first three months of operation.
